Below are step by step instructions for configuring Microsoft's Outlook 2003 or Outlook Express 6 and above to recieve email. If you have any questions about these instructions or other issues, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Step 1 -- Open Outlook or Outlook Express
Step 2 -- On the text menu across the top, click on "Tools"; in the drop down box that appears, click on "E-mail Accounts"
Step 3 -- In the window that appears, make sure "Add new e-mail account" is selected and click "Next"
Step 4 -- On the server type window, make sure the "POP-3" option is selected and click "Next"
Step 5 -- You will be presented with a window as appears below
Step 6 -- Enter you information as descibed in the email you received and click "Next"
Step 7 -- If your email account is provided by LTDC, click on the "More Settings" button on the bottom right of the page
Step 8 -- Click on the "Outgoing Servers" tab along the top of the window that appears
Step 9 -- Check the box labeled "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authenticaiton.
Make sure the "Use the same settings as my incoming server" option is selected
Click "OK"
Step 7 -- Click "Finish."
Step 8 -- To test your email address, send an email to yourself (this tests both the incoming and outgoing sides of the configuration)
